Tennis star Andy Murray probably thought he was doing what all good sportsmen do when taking a rest in his ottoman bed before his big game. However, the 24-year-old Scotsman has been forced to pull out of the Swiss Indoors recently after he sustained a rather unusual sleep injury.
The 21-title-winning player made his last-minute and premature exit just one hour before he was schedule to go into action in his first-round match against Dutchman Robin Haase in Basel. Tennis fans were left shocked and disappointed over the tennis player's departure, though Murray hadn't been feeling right since waking up.
Speaking of his injury and his withdrawal from the tournament, Mr Murray said: "It is something to do with the sciatic nerve and they think I did it in my sleep. Maybe I was sleeping in a bad position.
"I am going to go to Paris today, but I definitely need to take a few days off. Hopefully I should be OK."
