A pocket sprung mattress differs from an open coil sprung mattress by having each individual spring separately wrapped in a cotton capsule – this means three things – 1. Because the springs are not tied together they move individually of each other only where you move meaning that you won't disturb your partners sleep if you are a little restless at all. 2. because the springs are separate from each other it means that they are able to move up and down individually of each other which means that each different part of your body will be supported fully as the unit moulds to the shape of your body in effect. 3. Due to the springs being wrapped in cotton, the whole unit is silent meaning that you will hear no pinging throughout the night when you move.

Depending on how much you want to spend, there are varying models of pocket sprung mattresses – the differences usually being the amount of springs in the unit or the top sleeping area being made of different materials such as lambswool or memory foam. Basically, the more springs the better and also the firmer the mattress will feel when your weight is dissipated across the top of the unit.

You would also be given a three hour timeslot the day before delivery meaning that you can make definite plans to be at home to take delivery without having to wait in a whole day!
